We bill every two months, in arrears, via mail or e-mail.

Our trash routes are geographically specific. Days vary according to neighborhood. Due to holidays, schedules will change on occasion. Notification will always be given in advance. Please contact us to determine your trash day.

Recycling consists of two categories: Paper and Commingle (glass, plastic, metal, cartons). Paper recycling involves newspapers, junk mail, catalogs, magazines, etc. Commingle includes bottles, cans, cartons, and numbered plastics. Please see our recycling page for more detailed information.

The following items should not be placed in the recycle bin: clothes hangers (bring them back to the dry cleaner), plastic bags of any kind (reuse them or bring them back to the store), Styrofoam, ceramic wares, broken glass of any kind, plate glass, mirrors, aerosol cans, soiled paper, light bulbs. Please call for further discussion.

Dumpster Service

We offer roll-off container rentals for both residential and commercial projects. These “driveway dumpsters” are perfect for attic and basement cleanouts, construction projects, and large quantities of yard waste. Our 15 cubic yard dumpsters (approximately 8 x 12 x 5.5′) fit easily into most driveways. A door in the rear of the dumpster allows you to walk in large or heavy items. The flat-rate dumpster fee includes drop off and pick up to and from your location (24 hours’ notice is required), a two ton weight allowance, and a two week rental period. After the two week period, a daily rental fee will apply. After disposal of waste, any excess of 2 tons will be added to the flat rate fee. All debris must be “water level” in the dumpster. Any debris that extends or protrudes over the container’s walls is considered extra and will be removed at the customer’s expense. For environmental reasons, the following items cannot be placed in a dumpster and should be placed beside the dumpster. Please note that additional dump surcharges will apply.

GENERAL INFORMATION

* Please have your trash and recycling ready to go by 7:00 a.m. on your designated pick-up day. No need to bring it to the curb; we just need to get our truck within 10 feet of your trash with no obstruction.

* All non-recyclable trash must be in some type of trash bag and tied. When loading your trash bags, please keep in mind that bags need to be hoisted overhead into our trucks.

* Recycling must be sorted into two categories – Paper and Commingle – and should be placed in standard recycle bins. Please see our Recycle Page for more information.

* Contact us if you have extra trash or more than a bag or two of yard waste. We ask for one week’s notice for extra trash. Extra trash/yard waste charges are based on the specific dimensions of what we are disposing for you.

* Contact us in advance if you’re going to be away and we’ll credit your account for that time.

* Your trash day always stays the same unless you hear differently from us via the notices we include with your bill. Please read these notices as they often contain important service updates. You can also check our website at anytime for service updates.

RECYCLING SERVICES

We offer recycling services as part of our weekly trash pick up program. The two categories for recycling are Paper and Commingle. We prefer that you use standard sized recycle bins that we provide. Cardboard boxes need to be completely flattened before being put out for collection. For more information, please see the Town of Needham’s recycling page at Needham Public Works.
